It's All About Me.
Well, this page is at least.
My name is Phil. I began my career in 1993-94 after graduating from design school, studying illustration, typography, photography and graphic design. Computers were just revolutionizing the industry at that time and the internet was just a rumour.
I began doing web design as a personal interest in 1996. At that time I was also working as the lead designer at a firm in Etobicoke doing all in-store promotional material for Blockbuster Video, Canada wide (remember Blockbuster?) I got a letter of commendation from Warner Brothers for my work on the James Bond 007 Box set release that year. It was on VHS tape to give you an idea of how long ago it was. I went on to do work for other companies such as Nestlé, General Mills, Hellmann's, Chrysler, Dr. Scholl's and many others but in late 2000 I had enough.
I moved myself and my business back to the small town in Ontario called Port Elgin where I grew up and where much of my family still live and I set up shop. The clientele is not world famous but the work is no less challenging and it has allowed me to stretch my skillset, doing more photography, illustration, video production as well as print and web. It's far more satisfying and over the last 20 years I have been able to attain expert level knowledge in those fields.
I now have a photography studio in my office as well and I shoot commercial work and stock photography as a supplement. Check out my photography here.
